Our conservation fencing project :
We have completely enclosed our 490-hectare conservation property with an electric fence to manage grazing pressure.
We erected our first stretch of Westonfence back in 2014 to reduce grazing pressure from kangaroos. We have now completed a 13-km long perimeter fence around our entire 490-hectare property. The fence also excludes pigs and goats, their trampling, wallowing and eating! We expect to see a huge response as rare plants return, habitat improves, and we won’t need to individually guard every tree we plant.

Fencing … for echidnas?!
In Winter 2020, we completed another 1.2 km of electric fencing, only 7.6 km to go. It’s a great fence for echidnas!
